Sexual Harassment Awareness

Since October 2024, under the Worker Protection Regulations, employers have a legal duty to take proactive steps to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace. Failure to do so could lead to claims, reputational damage, and financial penalties.

One of the most effective ways to demonstrate compliance is through training—ensuring all employees understand what sexual harassment is, how to raise concerns in their organisation and what their employer is doing to actively prevent harassment and also deal with any incidents that do occur.

We have three options for training delivery, so we have something to suit all organisations of any size and from any sector.

SESSION 1

The opening session looks at the legal definition of sexual harassment, the types of sexual harassment and who the harasser may be.

This session also looks at the legal duties of employers.

SESSION 2

The second session looks at the impact of sexual harassment on an individual, their colleagues and an the organisation.

This emphasises the importance of reducing the risk of sexual harassment and reporting an incidents.

The final session looks at how to report incidents or the risk of sexual harassment – both informal and formal options.

It looks at what will happen in a formal complaint and also covers sources of external support people can access.
